What Is That Funny Noise Coming From My Car?

All of our cars make funny noises from time to time. Some make funnier noises than others, and some noises are louder than others. When you hear a noise from your car it can make you uneasy and uncomfortable because you may not know what might be wrong, how much it will cost to fix, and where to get it fixed. Here are some of the places that noises come from that you should be concerned about:

  • Suspension
  • Brakes & Wheels
  • Exhaust
  • Engine
  • Belts & Pulleys
  • Hoses
  • Vacuum leaks
  • Malfunctioning Servos & Pumps

Some of these fixes are easy to diagnose and some take a little longer to get to the root of the problem.

Suspension

When your suspension goes out it affects much more than the quality of your ride. It affects your tires, steering system, and the quality of your ride. When you bring your car in we will be able to tell what the problem is and will fix it properly so as not to affect anything else on your car and to give you a smooth ride.

Worn Brakes

Worn brakes can be easy and hard to diagnose. When you are slowing down and hear a long squeak that means that there is metal on metal rubbing and that your brakes are worn down. Sometimes your brakes can wear down nicely and they won’t squeak right until the end when they are completely worn out. We can take care of that when we do our inspection of your vehicle and at 30/60/90k miles and when you come in.

We will be able to figure out what is making the noise or shaking your car with our state of the art scanners and diagnostic tools. Some of the signs of your engine has problems are clunking noises, banging noises, weird smells, and loss of power, sputtering, stalling, and a variety of other problems. Come in and we will get it diagnosed and fixed properly.

Belts & Pulleys

Belts and pulleys are very important to your car. They make sure that your battery is charged, that the air conditioner turns on when you push the button in your car, and that you have power steering. If your belts are loose or worn it could affect all of these systems and make them run inefficiently. Belts can squeak when they are wearing out and can let people all around know what the problem is with your car. We can fix, adjust, and repair what you need done with your belt and pulleys.
